Trims & notes
• 18 L corozo buttons x6 (+2 spare per garment)
• Light woven fusible (collar, placket)
• Woven label (inside back yoke)
• Care label (side seam)
• The collar is the garment and it is drawn open on the flat for that reason — one piece, no separate stand at the front, breaking at 12 cm. A two-piece shirt collar at this spec is a different product and the factory will default to it unless the pack says otherwise.
• Fuse the collar outer ply only, with a low-melt interlining at 130 C. This is the second time it appears in this batch because it is the most common way a soft collar is ruined.
• Garment-wash the shirt, not just the piece goods. Washed poplin is what gives the collar its roll; unwashed, the same pattern reads as a uniform shirt.
• Flat-felled side seams at 14 SPI are what the price difference against a cheap overlocked shirt buys. Specify the stitch density or it will not be quoted.
• A 60 cm chest with a 60 cm hem is deliberately a straight box. No waist suppression, no shirt tail — the hem is straight because the shirt is worn open and untucked.
• Corozo buttons vary in shade between lots. Order from a single lot and ask for 2 spares per garment; mixed-lot buttons on an ecru shirt are visible at arm's length.
